Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Material Inspector to ensure that all materials delivered to the project site meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting receiving inspections, maintaining material traceability, and documenting inspection results to support quality assurance throughout the project.

MATERIAL INSPECTOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in material inspection, quality control, or material receiving inspection for construction, industrial, or engineering projects.
• Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in any relevant field or a similar discipline.
• Knowledge of material inspection procedures, material traceability requirements, and quality documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and inspection documents.
• Familiarity with quality control standards, inspection procedures, and construction material handling practices.
• Strong attention to detail, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Experience in EPC, oil and gas, power plant, or heavy industrial construction projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct receiving inspections of piping, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation materials upon delivery to the project site.
• Verify that delivered materials conform to approved specifications, drawings, purchase orders, and project requirements.
• Ensure material traceability is maintained through proper tagging, marking, identification, and documentation in accordance with project procedures.
• Inspect materials for damage, corrosion, defects, shortages, and other non-conformities, and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Material Control, Quality Control (QC), and Construction teams regarding inspection results and material status.
• Segregate and report non-conforming materials and assist in the preparation of non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, material certificates, and related documentation.
• Monitor proper storage and handling of materials to prevent deterioration or damage.
• Ensure compliance with company quality management systems, project specifications, and health and safety requirements.
• Perform other quality inspection duties assigned by management.
