Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Material Controller to support its construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory records, monitoring material movement, and ensuring the timely availability of construction materials. The role requires close coordination with procurement, warehouse, logistics, engineering, and construction teams while maintaining compliance with company quality standards and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Material Controller

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Material Controller, Inventory Controller, or in a similar role within construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, material control, and warehouse operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate inventory records and material tracking systems for all project materials.
• Monitor the receipt, storage, issuance, and movement of materials to ensure proper inventory control.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure materials are available as required by project schedules.
• Verify material quantities and documentation against purchase orders, delivery notes, and inventory records.
• Prepare inventory reports, stock reconciliation, and material status updates for management.
• Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation related to inventory transactions and material movements.
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Support audits and inventory inspections by providing accurate records and documentation.
