Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking a dependable and organized Material Assistant to support material receiving, storage, and inventory activities for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that all materials are properly received, documented, stored, and issued in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.

Material Assistant

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, or a related field.
  • Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in any relevant field or a similar discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate material and inventory records.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a construction or project environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in receiving, checking, unloading, and verifying incoming materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Prepare material receiving reports, material issue slips, inventory records, and other related documentation.
  • Report damaged, missing, incorrect, or excess materials to the Material Controller or Supervisor.
  • Assist in organizing, labeling, and storing materials in designated warehouse or storage areas.
  • Support inventory counting and stock reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements, receipts, and issuances.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel, procurement, and site teams regarding material requests and deliveries.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe handling of materials in storage areas.
  • Follow company health, safety, and material handling procedures at all times.
  • Perform other warehouse and material control duties assigned by management.
