MARKETING MANAGER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in marketing, with 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in retail, pharmacy, FMCG, supermarket, or consumer goods industries is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in the Papua New Guinea market is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficient in digital marketing, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
  • Experience in social media management, brand development, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong financial and budget management skills with the ability to analyze marketing performance metrics.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual marketing strategies and plans aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Design and execute promotional campaigns for pharmacy products, supermarket merchandise, seasonal sales, and special events.
  • Conduct market research and analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities in existing and emerging markets throughout Papua New Guinea.
  • Manage and strengthen the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistent branding across all branches, advertising materials, and marketing channels.
  • Oversee in-store branding, signage, visual merchandising, and promotional displays.
  • Plan and implement advertising campaigns across radio, print, digital platforms, social media, and in-store promotions.
  • Coordinate product launches, promotional events, exhibitions, and marketing activities.
  • Develop promotional pricing strategies in collaboration with purchasing, merchandising, and branch management teams.
  • Monitor campaign performance, evaluate return on investment (ROI), and recommend improvements.
  • Manage the company’s digital marketing initiatives, including Facebook, Instagram, and other online platforms.
  • Create engaging content tailored to Papua New Guinea’s target market and customer demographics.
  • Coordinate online advertising campaigns and monitor customer engagement, online reviews, and social media interactions.
  • Organize community outreach programs, health awareness campaigns, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, suppliers, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and industry exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with branch managers to implement localized marketing activities and support new store openings.
  • Develop and manage customer loyalty programs and promotional initiatives to improve customer retention.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor the marketing budget while ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Produce monthly marketing reports and present key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales growth, customer acquisition, campaign effectiveness, and ROI.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with Papua New Guinea laws, pharmaceutical advertising regulations, company policies, and ethical business standards.
  • Maintain strong corporate governance by adhering to approved budgets, internal controls, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Take accountability for marketing performance, business results, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties assigned by senior management.
