Agri Talent is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for deployment to Australia. The role is focused on maintaining and repairing poultry farm and processing equipment, ensuring maximum operational efficiency, strict biosecurity compliance, and minimal production downtime.

MAINTENANCE FITTER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in maintenance, mechanical repair, or industrial equipment servicing.
• English proficiency required (IELTS or School Certificate).
• Must have a valid Passport, TESDA Certificate, and Driver’s License.
• Verifiable work experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and rapid fault diagnosis.
• Skilled in welding, fabrication, and basic machining (lathe work).
• Familiar with industrial automation systems used in agriculture or food production.
• Knowledge of biosecurity and hygiene compliance standards in poultry operations.
• Strong problem-solving, technical, and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on poultry farm and processing machinery.
• Inspect, repair, and optimize equipment such as augers, conveyors, elevators, feeding systems, and climate control units.
• Quickly diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
• Support equipment reliability to reduce downtime in farm and processing operations.
• Perform machining and fabrication tasks to create or adjust replacement parts.
• Maintain strict compliance with biosecurity and hygiene protocols.
• Record all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in facility systems.
• Ensure proper operation of automated systems including feeding lines, water systems, and egg collection equipment.
• Collaborate with operations teams to improve equipment efficiency and performance.
• Maintain safe working practices and ensure all machinery is in good operational condition.
