Junior Planning Engineer

Qualifications:

• Male and female applicants are welcome.
• Applicants must be not more than 40 years old.
• Must have 3–5 years of relevant work experience in project planning, scheduling, or construction engineering.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent relevant engineering qualification.
• Must hold a valid professional license, if applicable to the position and country of practice.
• Must have knowledge of construction project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress reporting.
• Must be familiar with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, technical specifications, and project documents.
• Must have a good understanding of project timelines, work breakdown structures (WBS), resource allocation, and project milestones.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Must possess strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and capable of coordinating with engineers, supervisors, contractors, and project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing, developing, and updating project schedules, work programs, and construction timelines.
• Support the preparation of baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution plans.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against approved schedules and planned targets.
• Collect and analyze progress information from site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Identify schedule delays, critical activities, and potential project risks and report them to the Planning Manager or Project Manager.
• Assist in preparing progress reports, look-ahead schedules, manpower plans, and other project planning documents.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontractor teams to monitor work activities and project requirements.
• Update project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other approved planning software.
• Assist in evaluating the impact of variations, changes, and delays on project schedules.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and completion targets.
• Maintain accurate records of project schedules, progress data, reports, and planning documents.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and provide schedule updates and relevant planning information.
• Recommend practical measures to improve project scheduling, workflow, and timely completion.
