Process Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• At least 10 years of relevant industrial work experience.
• Must have 10–15 years of industrial experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Soda ash industry experience is a must.
• Solid understanding of engineering thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and reaction kinetics.
• Membership or affiliation with an internationally recognized engineering organization, such as the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), is preferred or required as specified by the employer.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to assess process performance and recommend improvements.
• Male applicants are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Track and assess medium- and long-term process technical performance using agreed technical and economic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Provide guidance to Operations on general and long-term operating strategies for the assigned unit or area.
• Support process troubleshooting and help resolve operational issues.
• Identify process weaknesses, product quality concerns, recurring problems, and other operational challenges.
• Develop strategies and recommendations to improve process efficiency and performance.
• Provide process engineering expertise and technical support to Production, Projects, and other relevant departments.
