KBR Services LLC is seeking an experienced Instrument Control Valve Technician to support maintenance operations in oil and gas or fertilizer plant environments in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of control valves, actuators, and smart positioners to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.

INSTRUMENT CONTROL VALVE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience as an Instrument Control Valve Technician.
• Must have experience working in Oil & Gas or Fertilizer plants.
• Must have maintenance experience in control valve servicing.
• Must hold a Diploma in Instrumentation.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Others or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of control valves, actuators, smart positioners, and industrial instrumentation systems.
• Skilled in calibration, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of control valves and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, instrument drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on control valves, actuators, and associated instrumentation systems.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul control valves and smart positioners.
• Inspect, test, and service pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic control valves.
• Diagnose valve performance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform valve removal, installation, bench testing, calibration, and commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
• Utilize calibration equipment and diagnostic tools to verify instrument accuracy and valve performance.
• Prepare maintenance reports, calibration records, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams during plant shutdowns and routine maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
