Starwest Construction Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Electrician to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems of heavy machinery used in construction operations. The successful candidate will ensure equipment reliability, safety, and optimal performance through proper maintenance and troubleshooting.

Heavy Equipment Electrician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s / College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Technical diploma or certification in electrical technology or related discipline.
• Proven experience working with heavy equipment or industrial electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Skilled in using electrical testing tools (e.g., multimeters, diagnostic software).

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in heavy equipment.
• Repair and maintain wiring systems, lighting systems, control panels, and sensors.
• Install electrical components and systems in new or existing machinery.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Test electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Replace faulty parts such as alternators, starters, relays, and batteries.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Coordinate with mechanics and operators for efficient troubleshooting and repair work.
