Universal Cold Store Company is seeking a skilled Hatchery Equipment Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in hatchery operations. The successful candidate will ensure hatchery machinery and environmental control systems operate efficiently to support continuous chick production while complying with company quality, biosecurity, and workplace safety standards.

Hatchery Equipment Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar industrial maintenance role.
• Technical knowledge and practical experience related to industrial maintenance and equipment repair.
• Familiarity with hatcheries, poultry production, feed mills, processing plants, or industrial manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, motors, pumps, conveyors, ventilation systems, incubators, hatchers, and environmental control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, maintenance manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hatchery equipment, machinery, and utility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system components.
• Maintain incubators, hatchers, egg handling systems, chick conveyors, ventilation systems, humidifiers, heating and cooling equipment, pumps, motors, and automation systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Perform lubrication, alignment, calibration, cleaning, and adjustment of hatchery equipment according to maintenance schedules.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new hatchery equipment and machinery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair reports, spare parts inventory, and equipment service history.
• Coordinate with hatchery operations personnel to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production.
• Ensure compliance with biosecurity protocols, workplace safety regulations, preventive maintenance programs, and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshops, maintenance tools, and equipment.
• Perform other maintenance duties assigned by management.
