Synot Gastro Slovakia SRO, operating Hotel Elizabeth, is seeking qualified and experienced Handymen for an overseas hospitality and facility maintenance opportunity in Slovakia. The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, basic electrical and plumbing work, and general upkeep of hotel facilities and surrounding areas.

HANDYMAN

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• 22–40 years old.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Handyman, Facility Maintenance Worker, Maintenance Technician, or similar position.
• Practical experience working with tools, machines, and maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of basic building, hotel, facility, electrical, plumbing, painting, and repair work.
• Knowledge of using garden tools and machinery is an advantage.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of responsibility, performance, quality, and time management.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Non-smoker.
• Driving license for a personal vehicle is an advantage.
• Must be in good health and medically fit for the job.
• Willingness to learn the Slovak language.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine technical maintenance of hotel rooms, common areas, and facilities.
• Repair minor defects involving doors, locks, windows, furniture, tiles, paving, and other hotel fixtures.
• Carry out basic painting, decorating, and finishing work.
• Check and maintain lighting systems and replace light bulbs and fixtures when required.
• Perform simple electrical repair tasks within the permitted scope and under supervision when necessary.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks, including replacing taps and siphons and repairing minor water leaks.
• Inspect and maintain hotel technical equipment according to instructions from the supervisor.
• Use hand tools, machines, equipment, and maintenance materials safely and properly.
• Maintain hotel exterior areas and perform minor repairs, furniture maintenance, and seasonal maintenance work.
• Assist with gardening and outdoor maintenance activities when required.
• Help prepare hotel spaces for meetings, conferences, and events by moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Inspect work areas and report defects, equipment problems, and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain basic records of completed maintenance and repair work.
• Keep tools, equipment, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
• Follow hotel safety procedures and proper handling of tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
• Assist other hotel departments when required and as agreed with the supervisor.
• Perform other maintenance duties assigned by management.
