Carpet Court Retailing Limited is seeking experienced and skilled Flooring Installers to join its team in New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials with precision and quality workmanship in residential and commercial settings, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.

Flooring Installer

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in flooring installation.
  • Age requirement: 23 to 45 years old (First-time applicants or ex-abroad workers are welcome).
  • At least a High School Graduate, College Undergraduate, or Vocational course completer.
  • Ability to understand basic English is helpful; English proficiency requirements (IELTS/PTE) may apply depending on NZ Skilled assessment level.
  • Strong knowledge of flooring installation techniques and materials.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work on construction and installation sites.
  • Detail-oriented with strong workmanship and finishing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a construction environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install a wide range of flooring materials, including carpet, vinyl, laminate, and other floor coverings.
  • Measure, cut, and prepare flooring materials accurately according to site specifications.
  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper surface conditions before installation.
  • Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete flooring installation efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and finish in all installation projects.
  • Follow installation guidelines, safety procedures, and company standards at all times.
  • Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding project requirements and progress.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas during and after installation.
  • Identify and resolve minor installation issues on-site as needed.
