Australian Skilled Migration is seeking a qualified Fiberglass Boat Builder to construct, repair, and maintain fiberglass vessels and marine components, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship, structural integrity, and compliance with Australian marine industry requirements.
FIBERGLASS BOAT BUILDER
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of working experience as a Fiberglass Boat Builder or in a related marine construction field.
- Preferably with experience in the boat building, marine, or wood industry.
- Must have completed at least 1 year of college education (2 semesters).
- Vocational graduates must have completed at least 1 year of study with Diploma and Transcript of Records (TOR).
- TESDA Certificate alone is not accepted.
- For educational exemption requirements, the TOR must show 2 semesters completed, with at least 3 academic subjects per semester.
- Certificate of Employment (COE) relevant to the position is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fiberglass lamination, mold preparation, boat assembly, and marine finishing techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
Responsibilities:
- Construct, assemble, and repair fiberglass boats, marine vessels, and related components.
- Prepare molds and surfaces for fiberglass lamination and resin application.
- Lay fiberglass matting, cloth, resin, and gel coat according to specifications.
- Cut, shape, fit, and install boat structures, decks, hulls, bulkheads, and marine fittings.
- Perform finishing work including sanding, polishing, trimming, and detailing.
- Repair damaged fiberglass structures and restore vessels to operational condition.
- Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing instructions.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fiberglass fabrication equipment safely.
- Inspect completed work to ensure structural integrity, quality, and compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following workplace safety procedures.
