Fiber Glass / Surface Coating Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years verifiable experience, with at least 1 year experience within the last 5 years.
• Relevant trade qualification is preferred.
• Experience in the following industries is required:
  • Fiberglassing
  • Industrial coating
  • Spray painting
  • Marine
  • Automotive
  • Pool resurfacing
• Experienced in the use of Chopper Guns.
• Ability to work on both:
  • New installations
  • Repair and maintenance projects
• Must have strong attention to detail and produce high-quality workmanship.
• Must possess:
  • IELTS Overall Band Score of 5 or PTE Score of 36 overall
  • Listening: 33
  • Reading: 36
  • Writing: 29
  • Speaking: 24
• Knowledgeable in coating preparation, fiberglass application, surface finishing, and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial and workshop environments.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or within a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fiberglass application, laminating, coating, and resurfacing works according to project specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for coating, painting, fiberglassing, and finishing operations.
• Operate spray equipment, chopper guns, and coating tools safely and efficiently.
• Apply industrial coatings, fiberglass materials, paints, and protective finishes with precision and quality.
• Conduct repair and maintenance works on fiberglass and coated surfaces.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Read and follow technical instructions, work orders, and safety procedures accurately.
• Maintain tools, spray equipment, and work areas in clean and operational condition.
• Follow workplace safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with supervisors and project teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
