Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Farm Mechanic to support agricultural operations in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of farm machinery and transport equipment to ensure continuous and efficient farm operations.

FARM MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Farm Mechanic or in a similar role.
• At least 1 year in college or completion of a 1-year vocational course.
• Strong experience in servicing and maintaining farm machinery including tractors, headers, air seeders, and spray rigs.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in agricultural equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on farm machinery such as tractors, headers, air seeders, and spray rigs.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on transport equipment, including prime movers, grain trailers, and livestock trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment such as pumps, utility vehicles (Utes), trailers, and small engines.
• Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently before and after use.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and parts usage documentation.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
• Order and manage spare parts and consumables to support workshop operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with farm management and operators regarding equipment servicing schedules.
