Overseas Labor Recruiting (OLR) is seeking highly skilled Sous Chefs to join luxury hospitality establishments in Austria. The successful candidate will assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising culinary staff, and ensuring the consistent preparation of high-quality dishes. Candidates with strong bakery or pastry experience are highly encouraged to apply.
SOUS CHEF
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of international experience in luxury hotels or cruise ships.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Must possess a TESDA NC II certificate in Cookery, Bread and Pastry Production, or a related culinary qualification.
- Strong bakery or pastry experience is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in professional kitchen operations.
- Excellent knowledge of international cuisine, kitchen management, and food safety standards.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning, organizing, and supervising daily kitchen operations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including Chef de Partie, Commis Chefs, and other culinary personnel.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to meet company standards.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal menu updates.
- Manage inventory, food storage, and stock rotation while minimizing waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers and purchasing teams to ensure the availability of quality ingredients.
- Support bakery and pastry production when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Assist in staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Perform other culinary and supervisory duties assigned by the Executive Chef.
