Otak International is seeking an experienced CAD Technician – Wet Utilities to support infrastructure, road, and utility projects in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of UAE wet utility drafting experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and a solid understanding of water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and other wet utility networks.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in wet utility drafting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proven experience in UAE infrastructure, road, and utility projects.
• Experience preparing detailed drawings for water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and other wet utility networks.
• Good understanding of utility corridors, pipe networks, profiles, sections, and service coordination.
• Ability to prepare plans, profiles, sections, details, and as-built drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering design drawings, specifications, and survey information.
• Civil 3D experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements, standards, and utility coordination procedures is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, surveyors, and other disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings for water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and other wet utility networks.
• Develop utility plans, profiles, sections, construction details, and as-built drawings.
• Read and interpret engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and survey information.
• Prepare drawings showing pipe networks, utility corridors, profiles, and service connections.
• Coordinate wet utility layouts with road designs and other infrastructure networks.
• Work closely with engineers, surveyors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.
• Update drawings based on design revisions, site information, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with applicable UAE authority requirements and utility standards.
• Complete assigned drafting tasks within project deadlines.
