Highway Design Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master’s Degree in Transportation or Highway Engineering is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in highway or road design, preferably on major infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 4–6 years of GCC experience, with solid knowledge of regional authority standards and approval processes.
• Hands-on experience preparing and delivering concept, preliminary, and detailed design packages.
• Strong proficiency in the following engineering software:
  • AutoCAD
  • Civil 3D
  • MicroStation
  • InfraWorks
  • Navisworks
• Strong technical expertise in:
  • Highway and geometric design
  • Horizontal and vertical alignments
  • Cross-sections and corridor modeling
  • Grading and earthworks
  • Quantity take-offs
  • Road design and infrastructure coordination
• Good knowledge of UAE authority standards and requirements, including DMT, ADM, RTA, and other relevant local guidelines.
• Experienced in preparing design drawings, calculations, reports, BOQs, and authority submissions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver concept, preliminary, and detailed highway and road design packages.
• Develop highway geometric designs, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, and corridor models.
• Perform grading, earthworks, quantity take-offs, and road design calculations.
• Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, calculations, bills of quantities (BOQs), and authority submission documents.
• Coordinate road and infrastructure designs with relevant engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable UAE authority standards, technical requirements, and local guidelines.
• Support design reviews, technical coordination, and the authority approval process.
• Use engineering design software to develop, review, and refine highway design deliverables.
