ELEVATOR ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• Technical training in electrical, elevator maintenance, electromechanical, or a related field is preferred.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• At least 3 years of experience in elevator electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge and practical skills in using hand tools and electrical tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic IT and computer skills.
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
• Physically fit and capable of performing technical maintenance work.
• Able to work safely at elevator sites and follow occupational safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and technically competent.
• Able to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair elevator electrical and related mechanical systems.
• Diagnose electrical and operational problems in elevator equipment.
• Locate and determine the causes of faults or malfunctions in elevator brakes and motors.
• Inspect motors, brakes, control panels, switches, wiring, sensors, and other elevator components.
• Test electrical circuits and components using appropriate testing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on elevator electrical systems and equipment.
• Assist with installation, replacement, adjustment, and repair of elevator electrical components.
• Check wiring, connections, electrical controls, and safety devices for proper operation.
• Read and interpret elevator blueprints, electrical diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, electrical tools, and testing equipment safely and correctly.
• Identify worn, damaged, defective, or malfunctioning components and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Adjust and test elevator components to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and corrective maintenance as required.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and identified faults.
• Follow manufacturer’s specifications, technical procedures, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with workplace electrical safety procedures and company standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Report major technical problems or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Coordinate with other technicians, maintenance personnel, and supervisors during repair and maintenance activities.
• Perform other elevator maintenance and electrical technician duties as assigned.
