United Doctors Hospital is seeking a qualified Electronic Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems and equipment used throughout the hospital. The successful candidate will help ensure the safe and reliable operation of medical support systems, communication equipment, fire safety systems, and other electronic devices while complying with hospital policies and safety regulations.
ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- Completion of a 2-year Diploma or any relevant Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience as an Electronic Technician or in a similar technical role.
- Experience with fire safety systems or fire alarm equipment is an advantage.
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electronic equipment and control systems within the hospital.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic devices to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain hospital communication systems, alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV, and other electronic infrastructure.
- Assist in the maintenance and testing of fire alarm and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards.
- Replace defective electronic components, wiring, circuit boards, sensors, switches, and control modules as required.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure electronic systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, service logs, and repair documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and clinical departments during equipment servicing and repairs.
- Follow hospital safety procedures, infection control policies, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Perform other technical duties assigned by the Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor.
