United Doctors Hospital is seeking a qualified HVAC Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC) systems throughout the hospital. The successful candidate will ensure all HVAC equipment operates safely and efficiently to provide a comfortable, clean, and controlled environment for patients, staff, and visitors while complying with hospital standards and safety regulations.
HVAC TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- Completion of a 2-year Diploma or any relevant Vocational Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience as an HVAC Technician.
- Strong knowledge of diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), chillers, package units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC equipment and perform necessary repairs.
- Inspect compressors, motors, fans, pumps, thermostats, control panels, refrigerant lines, filters, and ductwork to ensure optimal system performance.
- Monitor system performance, temperature, humidity, airflow, and energy efficiency to maintain hospital environmental standards.
- Recharge refrigerants, replace defective components, and perform system testing after maintenance and repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, HVAC blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, inspection logs, and equipment history.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with hospital engineering and facility management teams to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety policies, infection control procedures, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain tools, testing instruments, and spare parts inventory in good working condition.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests involving HVAC equipment.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor.
