Technical Office Engineer (Electrical)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience as a Technical Office Engineer handling electrical works in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, grounding, low-current systems, and electrical installation methods.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical engineering software.
  • Familiarity with BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, technical submittals, RFIs, and construction contracts.
  • Good analytical, communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate electrical shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Review electrical designs, specifications, material submittals, and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs, material estimates, and technical reports for electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site engineers regarding electrical engineering matters.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), method statements, material approval requests, and technical submittals.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting for electrical works.
  • Review and evaluate project variations, engineering changes, and cost implications related to electrical installations.
  • Coordinate procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and electrical equipment requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain proper document control, revision tracking, and filing of all electrical engineering documents.
  • Provide technical support to site teams and assist in resolving engineering issues during construction.
  • Perform other technical office and engineering duties assigned by management.
