Barona Teollisuus Oy is seeking skilled Electrical Switchboard Operators for deployment to Finland. The successful candidates will work in the Kuopio area at the facility of a leading Finnish manufacturer of power distribution systems. This role involves the assembly of electrical switchboards used in real estate power distribution and offers excellent opportunities for long-term career development through extensive on-the-job training.

Electrical Switchboard Operator

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in production, manufacturing, or assembly work.
  • Previous experience in assembling electrical cabinets or switchboards is required.
  • Experience in electrical installations, including the connection of electrical wires and cables.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution components such as miniature circuit breakers, residual current devices (RCDs), contactors, thermal overload relays, rotary switches, and fuses.
  • Ability to read and interpret main electrical diagrams, wiring layouts, and control schematics.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken, to understand technical documentation and workplace instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise assembly procedures.
  • Proactive, dependable, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods during production operations.
  • Willing to undergo company-provided training and work in Finland.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electrical switchboards and power distribution panels according to technical specifications and production standards.
  • Mount, connect, assemble, and secure electrical wires, cables, fuses, switches, breakers, and circuits within switchboard systems.
  • Install and integrate electrical components used in power distribution systems.
  • Align, adjust, and secure electrical parts and assemblies to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform electrical wiring and cable connections based on electrical diagrams and control schematics.
  • Assemble miniature circuit breakers, residual current devices (RCDs), contactors, thermal overload relays, rotary switches, fuses, and related components.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, technical documentation, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Report production issues, defects, and equipment concerns to supervisors.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
