CML International is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to support testing, commissioning, site supervision, and electrical engineering activities in the United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is ideal for electrical engineering professionals with experience in MEP/ELV testing and commissioning, particularly in completed high-rise buildings and other established facilities.

Electrical Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in MEP/ELV testing and commissioning.
• Experience with testing and commissioning electrical or ELV systems in finished high-rise buildings, establishments, or similar facilities.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, MEP services, ELV systems, testing procedures, commissioning requirements, and site engineering practices.
• Ability to inspect and verify electrical materials and equipment against approved specifications and project requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, consultants, and site personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Willing and capable of working on construction and project sites in a demanding engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and supervise testing and commissioning of electrical and MEP/ELV systems in high-rise buildings and other completed establishments.
• Develop testing and commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, checklists, and documentation for assigned electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections, functional tests, performance tests, and verification of electrical and ELV installations.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and other engineering teams to resolve testing and commissioning issues.
• Inspect electrical installations and verify that completed works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project requirements.
• Plan and develop new engineering concepts, methods, and improvements to enhance company operations and project performance.
• Identify technical problems during testing and commissioning and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
• Supervise and check electrical and MEP materials, equipment, and components to be used on site.
• Verify that materials delivered to the project site meet approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, technical documents, test reports, and commissioning records.
• Monitor site activities to ensure electrical works are properly installed, tested, and completed according to approved plans.
• Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to ensure proper sequencing and timely completion of electrical works.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical and ELV system defects and ensure corrective actions are completed before project handover.
• Prepare and maintain testing, inspection, commissioning, and site progress reports.
• Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety procedures and project standards.
• Monitor site safety requirements and ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used during engineering and commissioning activities.
• Perform other electrical engineering, testing, commissioning, and site supervision duties assigned by management.
