NECO Construction is seeking skilled and hardworking Masons to join its construction team in Palau. This opportunity is ideal for experienced masonry workers with strong skills in concrete work, brick and block laying, plastering, finishing, and general construction.

Mason

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mason, Bricklayer, Concrete Mason, or similar construction position.
• Strong knowledge of brick and block laying, concrete work, plastering, rendering, masonry finishing, and general construction.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, measurements, and specifications.
• Skilled in preparing and using cement, mortar, concrete, grout, and other masonry materials.
• Proficient in using masonry hand tools, power tools, levels, mixers, and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting construction materials, standing for extended periods, bending, climbing, and performing manual labor.
• Ability to work outdoors and in demanding construction environments.
• Knowledge of construction safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform masonry and concrete work for residential, commercial, and other construction projects.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, measurements, and work instructions.
• Prepare and mix cement, mortar, concrete, grout, and other construction materials according to project requirements.
• Lay concrete blocks, bricks, stones, and other masonry materials accurately and according to approved plans.
• Construct walls, partitions, foundations, columns, walkways, curbs, and other masonry structures.
• Perform concrete pouring, leveling, screeding, finishing, and curing as required.
• Apply plaster, render, mortar, and other finishing materials to walls and surfaces.
• Ensure masonry work is properly aligned, leveled, plumbed, and finished according to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces and foundations before masonry, plastering, and concrete work.
• Install and maintain formwork, reinforcement, supports, and other components required for masonry and concrete activities.
• Repair cracks, damaged masonry, concrete surfaces, and other structural or finishing defects.
• Measure and mark work areas accurately before cutting, laying, or installing masonry materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, mixers, levels, trowels, and other masonry equipment safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with carpenters, steel workers, electricians, plumbers, painters, engineers, and other construction personnel.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper quality, strength, alignment, dimensions, and appearance.
• Prepare, handle, and store construction materials properly to prevent damage and unnecessary waste.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout construction activities.
• Follow project specifications, construction standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe working practices on construction sites.
• Report material requirements, construction problems, equipment issues, and safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Perform other masonry, concrete, repair, and construction duties assigned by management.
