NECO Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join its construction team in Palau. This opportunity is ideal for qualified electrical workers with experience in electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction projects.

Electrician

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Electrician, Construction Electrician, or Electrical Technician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, wiring, conduit work, electrical panels, lighting systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, plans, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in using electrical hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, grounding systems, circuit protection, and safe work practices.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or construction electrical projects is preferred.
• Physically fit and capable of working on construction sites, climbing, bending, lifting materials, and working at heights when required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and construction projects.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, plans, specifications, and work instructions.
• Install electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, panels, and other electrical components.
• Perform electrical rough-ins and final installations according to approved plans and project requirements.
• Install and connect distribution boards, electrical panels, switches, receptacles, lighting systems, and other electrical equipment.
• Test electrical installations and circuits using appropriate testing instruments to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Diagnose electrical faults, short circuits, wiring problems, and equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspection of electrical systems, equipment, tools, and installations.
• Assist with the installation and connection of electrical equipment, appliances, motors, and other systems as required.
• Ensure electrical installations are properly grounded, secured, labeled, and protected.
• Coordinate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, engineers, and other construction workers to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth project progress.
• Prepare and organize electrical materials, tools, equipment, and components required for assigned work.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, inspections, testing, repairs, and materials used when required.
• Ensure electrical tools, testing instruments, and equipment are properly maintained and safely operated.
• Identify electrical hazards and report unsafe conditions, damaged components, or potential problems to the supervisor.
• Follow applicable electrical codes, project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout and other safe electrical work practices.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly store electrical tools and materials.
• Perform other electrical installation, maintenance, repair, and construction duties assigned by management.
