Our employer Franklin Smith Limited is in need of the following:

Drainlayer

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Drainlayer, Labourer, or Water Mains Installer.
• Experience in large bore pipe installation, deep trenching, and civil site works.
• Knowledge of HDPE butt welding, electrofusion, pressure testing, and commissioning (for water mains role).
• Ability to read and work from civil engineering drawings and plans.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor construction environments.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out drainage and water mains installation works on civil construction sites.
• Perform large bore pipe installation, deep trenching, and shoring operations.
• Install HDPE pipes using butt welding and electrofusion techniques (for water mains roles).
• Conduct pressure testing and system commissioning, including tie-ins and live network work when required.
• Read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards and construction procedures.
• Work effectively with site supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines.
