Waiter/Waitress

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in waitressing, restaurant service, food and beverage, hospitality, or a similar position.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing restaurant role is an advantage.
• Strong customer-oriented attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and respond to requests professionally.
• Positive, friendly, and professional personality.
• Strong team player who can work effectively with kitchen and restaurant staff.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail when taking and delivering customer orders.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization of dining and service areas.
• Knowledge of basic food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to assist or guide other team members when required.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and responsible.
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods during service.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and courteously assist customers upon arrival.
• Provide professional and attentive table service throughout the customer’s dining experience.
• Present menus, answer customer questions, and provide information about food and beverage items.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and service team.
• Make appropriate menu recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and according to restaurant service standards.
• Check regularly with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their meals and service.
• Respond professionally to customer requests, concerns, and complaints.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and served on time.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly arranged dining and service areas.
• Set up tables before service and clear and reset tables after customers leave.
• Handle plates, glasses, utensils, and other service items carefully and safely.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with processing customer bills and payments when required.
• Communicate special requests, dietary requirements, and customer concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Support other restaurant team members during busy service periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous manner at all times.
• Follow restaurant policies, procedures, service standards, and management instructions.
• Help maintain a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers.
• Perform other restaurant service duties assigned by management.
