Elderly Caregiver
Qualifications:
- Female applicants only.
- 25–45 years old.
- Caregiving NC II holders are preferred.
- Graduates of Midwifery are welcome to apply.
- Open to candidates with hospital exposure.
- Maternity Ward experience is an advantage.
- Neonatal Care experience is an advantage.
- Geriatric Care experience is an advantage.
- Compassionate, patient, caring, and respectful when assisting elderly clients.
- Knowledge of basic caregiving, personal hygiene, safety, and infection-control practices.
- Ability to assist elderly clients with personal care and daily activities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, trustworthy, hardworking, and attentive to the needs of clients.
- Ability to follow healthcare instructions and employer-provided care plans.
- Physically capable of performing caregiving duties, including assisting clients with mobility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and attentive care to elderly clients according to their individual needs.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Assist elderly clients with walking, mobility, transferring, and other daily activities as needed.
- Monitor the client’s general condition, comfort, behavior, and well-being.
- Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and maintaining proper hydration when required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients.
- Assist clients in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and organized living environment.
- Follow proper caregiving, hygiene, sanitation, infection-control, and safety procedures.
- Assist with prescribed care routines and instructions provided by healthcare professionals or family members.
- Observe and promptly report changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition.
- Assist with basic health monitoring and maintain appropriate care records when required.
- Provide proper support to elderly clients with limited mobility or special care needs.
- Handle clients with patience, dignity, respect, and professionalism at all times.
- Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers.
- Provide appropriate assistance during medical appointments or healthcare-related activities when required.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and seek medical assistance when necessary.
- Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the client and family.
- Perform other caregiving and client-support duties assigned by the employer.
