PPF TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of working experience is required.
• Previous experience as a PPF Technician, Automotive Detailer, Car Film Installer, or similar position is an advantage.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledge of Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation, cutting, fitting, and finishing.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, align, and apply PPF to different vehicle surfaces.
• Familiarity with specialized PPF tools such as squeegees, heat guns, cutting tools, and related equipment.
• Good understanding of vehicle surface preparation, including cleaning, polishing, and contaminant removal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce a clean, precise, and bubble-free finish.
• Ability to identify and correct wrinkles, bubbles, misalignment, lifting edges, and other application imperfections.
• Good hand skills and manual dexterity for handling and applying flexible film materials.
• Ability to work carefully and efficiently while maintaining consistent quality standards.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety, proper tool handling, and material care.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and willing to follow company procedures and instructions.
• Willing to work in Kuwait and adapt to a professional automotive detailing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure, cut, and apply Paint Protection Film (PPF) to various parts of vehicles.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces before PPF application through proper cleaning, polishing, and, when required, clay bar treatment.
• Inspect vehicle surfaces and identify dirt, contaminants, scratches, or imperfections that may affect film application.
• Use specialized PPF installation tools such as squeegees, heat guns, cutting tools, and other appropriate equipment.
• Apply PPF smoothly and efficiently while minimizing bubbles, wrinkles, creases, and other imperfections.
• Ensure proper alignment, positioning, coverage, and finishing of PPF on vehicle panels and components.
• Trim and shape film accurately around edges, curves, corners, handles, lights, and other vehicle features.
• Maintain high attention to detail to achieve a clean and professional finish without visible seams or unnecessary imperfections.
• Follow proper PPF installation techniques and manufacturer or company procedures.
• Inspect completed installations to ensure quality, proper adhesion, alignment, and overall appearance.
• Correct minor installation issues when necessary and report significant defects or challenges to the supervisor.
• Handle PPF materials carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or unnecessary waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing bay, work area, tools, and equipment.
• Clean and properly store specialized PPF installation tools after use.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and proper handling of tools, chemicals, film, and other detailing materials.
• Coordinate effectively with fellow technicians, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and technical concerns.
• Complete assigned PPF installation work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Provide basic after-service care and maintenance instructions to customers when required.
• Assist with other vehicle detailing and related workshop tasks when assigned by management.
• Perform other duties related to PPF installation and automotive detailing as directed by the supervisor.
