DENTAL NURSE
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Candidates must be a Professional License holder (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam).
- Must have a valid Philippine Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic, dental hospital, oral care facility, or related healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Knowledge of dental nursing procedures, infection control, sterilization, and patient safety.
- Strong understanding of nursing principles and clinical procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively with dentists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing and clinical support to dentists during dental examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort, safety, and proper positioning.
- Prepare and organize dental instruments, equipment, supplies, and treatment areas before procedures.
- Assist dentists during dental procedures by providing instruments and materials as required.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and promptly report any changes in their condition.
- Follow proper infection prevention and control procedures, including sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments and clinical areas.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, treatment documentation, and nursing reports.
- Administer medications and provide nursing care as directed by the dentist or authorized healthcare professional.
- Provide patients with appropriate post-treatment instructions and explain basic care procedures as directed by the dental team.
- Ensure dental equipment and clinical supplies are properly prepared, maintained, and available when needed.
- Support the implementation of new medical and dental technologies that can improve clinical operations and nursing procedures.
- Assist in evaluating nursing practices and identifying opportunities to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Monitor the performance of nursing staff and provide appropriate feedback and support to improve service delivery.
- Inform nursing staff of new clinic policies, procedures, safety requirements, and operational guidelines.
- Assist in collecting and reviewing nursing and patient-care data to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Prepare reports concerning nursing activities, patient care, staff performance, and clinical procedures for management.
- Coordinate with dentists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare personnel to ensure efficient patient care.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
- Ensure nursing activities comply with applicable healthcare standards, clinic policies, and professional regulations.
- Perform other nursing and clinical duties assigned by management.
