Qatar Engineering & Construction Company W.L.L (QCON) is seeking a qualified Cost Management Analyst to support project cost control, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting for oil & gas and EPC projects in accordance with industry standards, company policies, and project requirements.

Cost Management Analyst

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in cost analysis, budgeting, project controls, or financial management.
• Experience within the Oil & Gas, Energy, or EPC industry is required or highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Cost accounting
  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Variance analysis
  • Financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) is an advantage.
• Understanding of oil and gas project lifecycles, CAPEX and OPEX management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
• Perform cost analysis and variance reporting to identify deviations from project budgets.
• Support project controls teams in tracking CAPEX and OPEX expenditures.
• Analyze financial data and provide cost control recommendations to management.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and project performance summaries.
• Monitor procurement costs and support contract cost tracking and analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Evaluate project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Maintain accurate cost records, databases, and financial documentation.
• Support audits and compliance requirements related to financial and cost reporting.
