QPAMS Pty Ltd is seeking experienced and safety-focused Rope Access Painters (IRATA) to perform painting, coating, inspection, and maintenance work at height using industrial rope access techniques. The successful candidates will be responsible for surface preparation, protective coating application, and roof gutter maintenance while ensuring strict compliance with rope access safety standards and industry regulations. The ideal applicants are physically fit, certified in rope access, and experienced in working in challenging environments.

Rope Access Painter (IRATA)

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current or previous IRATA, SPRAT, or ARAA Rope Access Certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Rope Access Painter.
• Proven experience in industrial painting, surface preparation, and protective coating application.
• Experience in roof gutter installation, maintenance, and repair is required.
• Strong knowledge of industrial painting techniques, coating systems, and corrosion protection.
• Thorough understanding of rope access procedures, risk assessments, and working-at-height safety regulations.
• Physically fit with the stamina to perform demanding rope access work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in Australia under the employer’s policies and applicable workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform painting, protective coating, and maintenance work using industrial rope access techniques.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, grinding, pressure washing, and removing rust or old coatings.
• Apply primers, paints, sealants, and protective coatings according to project specifications and quality standards.
• Install, maintain, and repair roof gutters, downpipes, and related roofing components.
• Conduct inspections of painted surfaces and structures to ensure proper coating thickness, adhesion, and finish quality.
• Assemble, inspect, and use rope access equipment in accordance with IRATA, SPRAT, or ARAA standards.
• Perform work safely at heights while complying with all occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Inspect and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), ropes, harnesses, and rigging equipment before and after use.
• Report structural defects, coating failures, or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Complete work documentation, inspection reports, and maintenance records accurately.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and properly store tools and equipment after use.
• Perform other rope access, painting, and maintenance duties assigned by management.
