Phil Eagle Recruitment is seeking experienced Construction Workers to support residential and commercial construction projects in New Zealand. The successful candidate should have practical experience in construction work, particularly in framing and formwork, with a good understanding of standard timber dimensions, construction terminology, and workplace procedures. A valid Driver’s License (Code B or equivalent) is required.

CONSTRUCTION WORKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant construction experience.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License (Code B or equivalent).
• Proven knowledge of residential and commercial framing.
• Practical experience with formwork.
• Good knowledge of standard timber dimensions and construction terminology.
• Ability to follow construction plans, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of performing construction-related manual work.
• Good teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with residential and commercial construction projects.
• Perform construction tasks related to framing and formwork.
• Read and follow construction plans, drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure, cut, position, and assemble timber and other construction materials.
• Work with standard timber dimensions and construction materials.
• Assist with the preparation, installation, and removal of formwork.
• Ensure construction work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards.
• Safely operate basic construction tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
• Coordinate with supervisors, tradespeople, and other construction workers.
• Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
