Total Facilities Management Limited (TFML) is seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter to support construction, maintenance, and interior fit-out projects in Fiji. The successful candidate will be responsible for carpentry work including the fabrication and installation of doors and windows, internal fit-outs, drywall installation, and carpet installation. Candidates with additional painting and plumbing skills are highly preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Carpenter.
  • Proven ability to fabricate and install doors and windows.
  • Experience working on internal fit-out projects.
  • Skilled in drywall installation and carpet installation.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry, construction, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to use common carpentry hand tools and power tools.
  • Good measurement, cutting, fitting, and installation skills.
  • Painting and plumbing skills are an advantage.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on construction and maintenance work.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install doors and windows according to specifications.
  • Perform carpentry work for residential, commercial, and facility projects.
  • Carry out internal fit-out and finishing works.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and install wood and other construction materials.
  • Install drywall systems and related components.
  • Install carpets and assist with flooring-related work.
  • Read and follow construction drawings, measurements, and project instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and correctly.
  • Inspect completed carpentry and installation work to ensure proper fit, finish, and quality.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and maintenance of existing structures and fixtures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
    Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
  • Assist with painting, plumbing, or other maintenance tasks when required.
  • Perform other carpentry and facility maintenance duties as assigned.
