FOREMAN CARPENTER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional carpentry experience is required.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, lead worker, or assistant foreman role is required or highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and building plans.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, carpentry methods, building codes, and construction safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to organize work activities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and construction practices.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on construction work.
- Safety-conscious, reliable, and responsible.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily carpentry activities and construction work.
- Lead carpenters and other workers to ensure tasks are completed according to project schedules.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, building plans, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials.
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of carpentry work.
- Ensure construction activities comply with applicable building codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and manpower required for carpentry activities.
- Inspect completed and ongoing work and identify construction or workmanship issues.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to carpentry workers.
- Resolve day-to-day site problems and coordinate with supervisors and other trades.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the work area remains safe and organized.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report work progress, material requirements, and site issues to management.
- Perform hands-on carpentry work when required.
- Perform other duties related to carpentry supervision and construction as assigned.
