Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Butcher in a supermarket, hypermarket, meat shop, or food retail establishment.
• At least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Good English communication skills.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of various meat cuts, meat quality standards, and preparation techniques.
• Skilled in operating meat-cutting machinery and using butcher knives safely.
• Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting heavy products.

Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, debone, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products into retail cuts such as steaks, chops, roasts, fillets, and minced meat.
• Operate, clean, and maintain meat-cutting equipment, including band saws, slicers, grinders, and meat processing machines.
• Sharpen and properly maintain knives and other hand tools used in meat preparation.
• Inspect meat products to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Package, label, weigh, and price meat products for display and sale.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method, and report replenishment requirements.
• Store meat products at appropriate temperatures to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workstations, equipment, and cold storage areas in accordance with hygiene regulations.
• Assist customers by providing information on different meat cuts, preparation methods, and cooking recommendations.
• Follow company policies and health, safety, and food handling regulations at all times.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Meat Department Supervisor or Store Manager.
