BMS ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience as a BMS Engineer, Building Automation Engineer, or similar role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and building automation technologies.
• Experience monitoring and controlling HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and energy management systems.
• Proven experience supervising BMS Operators and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of BMS platforms, PLCs, controllers, sensors, and building automation communication protocols is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and technical reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while ensuring reliable building operations.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of BMS Operators to ensure the efficient operation of building automation systems.
• Monitor and control the Building Management System (BMS) to optimize the performance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and energy management systems.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain BMS hardware, software, controllers, sensors, and field devices.
• Monitor alarms, analyze system performance, and implement corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all BMS-controlled building systems.
• Prepare operational reports, system performance analyses, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and facility management personnel to resolve system issues efficiently.
• Ensure building systems operate in compliance with company standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Support energy management initiatives by monitoring system efficiency and recommending energy-saving improvements.
• Verify proper integration and communication between HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Assist in commissioning, testing, upgrading, and optimizing BMS installations.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other engineering and facilities management duties assigned by management.
