BARISTA

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Barista in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hotel is preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso-based beverages, coffee preparation techniques, and milk steaming.
• Experience operating commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, energetic, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha, and specialty drinks.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders, and other beverage preparation equipment.
• Prepare teas, juices, smoothies, and other café beverages according to company recipes and standards.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide menu recommendations.
• Process customer orders using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system when required.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of coffee machines, workstations, utensils, and café equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
• Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally.
• Assist with opening and closing café operations, including equipment setup and cleaning.
• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
• Promote featured beverages, desserts, and café specials to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Perform other café and customer service duties assigned by supervisors.
