DAEWOO E&C CO., LTD. is seeking experienced Auto & Plant Electricians (Maintenance) to perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment, construction machinery, and company vehicles in Mozambique. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable operation of electrical systems while adhering to company safety and maintenance standards.
AUTO & PLANT ELECTRICIAN (MAINTENANCE)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as an Auto Electrician, Plant Electrician, or in a similar maintenance role.
- Must be at least a high school graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Diploma or technical certificate in Auto Electrical Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Must possess a valid TESDA Certificate relevant to the trade.
- Strong experience diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in heavy equipment, construction machinery, and vehicles.
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare complex electrical diagrams and wiring schematics.
- Skilled in installing, maintaining, and repairing alternators, starters, batteries, and other automotive electrical components.
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tools and electronic control systems is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding industrial and construction environments.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Willing to work in Mozambique and comply with company policies and project safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in heavy equipment, construction machinery, and company vehicles.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components such as alternators, starters, batteries, wiring harnesses, relays, sensors, switches, lighting systems, and control circuits.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of electrical systems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Read, interpret, and prepare complex electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and circuit drawings.
- Test electrical systems using multimeters, diagnostic scanners, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Install and replace electrical accessories, control units, and electronic components as required.
- Diagnose faults in charging systems, starting systems, ignition systems, and electronic control modules (ECMs).
- Repair damaged wiring, connectors, and electrical circuits while ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
- Coordinate with mechanics, supervisors, and equipment operators to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures during all maintenance operations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Perform other electrical maintenance duties as assigned.
