Auto Body Painter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as an Auto Body Painter.
• Technical or Vocational Certificate in Automotive Servicing, Auto Body Repair, or a related field is an advantage.
• Skilled in vehicle surface preparation, spray painting, color matching, polishing, and finishing techniques.
• Experience using spray guns, paint booths, sanding equipment, and automotive refinishing tools.
• Knowledge of automotive paint systems, primers, clear coats, and refinishing materials.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality paint finishes.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Must possess a valid passport with at least 2 years of remaining validity.
• Physically fit and able to work in an automotive workshop environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying body fillers or primers as needed.
• Mix and match automotive paint colors according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
• Apply primer, base coat, clear coat, and other paint finishes using spray guns and professional painting equipment.
• Repair paint defects, scratches, dents, and surface imperfections before refinishing.
• Polish, buff, and finish painted surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-quality appearance.
• Inspect completed paintwork to ensure color accuracy, finish quality, and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain and clean spray booths, painting tools, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the proper handling of paints, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Work closely with auto body repair technicians to complete vehicle restoration projects on schedule.
• Keep accurate records of paint materials used and completed repair work.
• Perform other automotive painting and refinishing duties assigned by supervisors.
