ASSISTANT COOK

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years work experience
• With good communication skills
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is often preferred and can be a major advantage
• Vocational training or a culinary certificate can be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Cook menu items as directed by the HEAD COOK, using standardized recipes and various cooking methods like grilling, sautéing, and frying.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, floors, and tools according to health and safety standards.
• Receive deliveries, organize and store food supplies, and monitor inventory levels, reporting when items are running low.
• Ensure all food is prepared and handled according to safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor food temperatures and quality during the cooking process.
• Plate meals according to recipes and presentation standards.
