WELDING QC INSPECTOR

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in welding quality control, inspection, or industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and quality assurance requirements.
• Experience reviewing and approving Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and related welding documentation.
• Familiarity with welder qualification and welding procedure qualification requirements.
• Knowledge of NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) methods such as RT, UT, MT, and PT.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Experience in quality control activities for industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction projects.
• Strong report writing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve welding procedures, specifications, and related quality documents.
• Verify compliance of welder qualifications and welding procedure qualifications.
• Conduct inspections to ensure welding activities meet project specifications and applicable standards.
• Verify compliance with safety requirements during welding and fabrication activities.
• Develop visual inspection procedures and inspection checklists.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor NDE inspection activities and schedules.
• Review contract requirements and ensure vendor and contractor compliance with quality standards.
• Inspect materials, welding consumables, fit-up, and completed welds.
• Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance reports when required.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients regarding quality-related issues.
• Ensure all welding work complies with project requirements, codes, and approved procedures.
• Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
