Arabian C B & I Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Welding Foreman for an overseas work opportunity in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will supervise welding crews involved in the fabrication and erection of large industrial storage tanks for oil and gas, petrochemical, and heavy industrial projects.
WELDING FOREMAN
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welding Foreman in tank fabrication, tank erection, or heavy industrial projects.
- Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial storage tank projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding operations, fabrication, and erection procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Knowledge of welding quality standards and inspection requirements.
- Experience supervising welding operations in 2G, 3G uphill, and 4G positions.
- Strong leadership and manpower-management skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise and coordinate welding crews.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to monitor work progress and maintain project schedules.
- Safety-conscious and knowledgeable in industrial welding safety practices.
- Able to coordinate effectively with fitters, engineers, inspectors, foremen, and supervisors.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding industrial environment.
- Overseas or large-scale oil and gas project experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate welders and welding crews during tank fabrication and erection activities.
- Assign welding tasks and allocate manpower according to project requirements and schedules.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, WPS, welding specifications, and project requirements.
- Ensure welders follow approved welding procedures and specified welding parameters.
- Monitor weld quality and ensure compliance with inspection and quality standards.
- Supervise welding activities in multiple positions, including 2G, 3G uphill, and 4G.
- Monitor daily production progress and ensure work is completed according to project schedules.
- Coordinate with fitters, erection foremen, engineers, QC inspectors, and other site personnel.
- Identify and help resolve technical, welding, fabrication, and workflow issues.
- Conduct regular checks of welding equipment, tools, materials, and work areas.
- Ensure welding activities comply with approved quality control procedures.
- Enforce site health, safety, and environmental procedures among welding personnel.
- Ensure welders use appropriate PPE and follow safe welding practices.
- Monitor consumable handling and ensure welding materials are used according to project requirements.
- Coordinate inspection and testing activities with QC personnel and welding inspectors.
- Track welding activities, production progress, repairs, and other relevant information.
- Prepare daily welding reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate work instructions and safety requirements to the crew.
- Train, guide, and motivate welding personnel to maintain productivity and quality.
- Perform other supervisory and welding-related duties assigned by management.
