WELDER FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant work experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Must have an NC II Certificate in Welding or a relevant qualification.
• Must have a Certificate of Employment (COE) documenting relevant work experience.
• Must have a relevant Diploma.
• Applicants must provide a welding video demonstrating their work from START TO FINISH.
• Proven hands-on experience in welding, metal fabrication, fitting, and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, measurements, and fabrication instructions.
• Knowledge of metal preparation, cutting, fitting, positioning, welding, grinding, and finishing.
• Ability to accurately measure and align components before and after fabrication.
• Good understanding of welding safety, equipment operation, and proper use of PPE.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to identify welding and fabrication defects and perform appropriate corrections.
• Physically fit and capable of performing welding and fabrication duties for extended periods.
• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a fabrication or production team.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and willing to work in a professional industrial environment in Croatia.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and metal fabrication work according to technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Prepare, cut, shape, fit, and position metal materials and components for welding and fabrication.
• Set up and operate appropriate welding machines, power tools, cutting equipment, and fabrication tools.
• Perform welding using suitable welding processes and techniques based on the material and project requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, measurements, and fabrication plans.
• Measure and mark metal materials accurately before cutting, drilling, fitting, or welding.
• Assemble and align metal components to ensure proper dimensions, positioning, and fit.
• Perform tack welding and final welding while maintaining proper alignment and structural integrity.
• Control welding parameters and techniques to produce strong, consistent, and quality welds.
• Grind, clean, smooth, and finish welded surfaces and fabricated components as required.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated structures for cracks, porosity, undercut, distortion, and other defects.
• Perform necessary adjustments, repairs, or rework to correct welding and fabrication defects.
• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and workmanship.
• Handle metal materials, fabricated components, tools, and equipment safely.
• Maintain welding machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment in good working condition.
• Report defective equipment, damaged materials, safety hazards, and technical concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow production schedules, approved welding procedures, and quality control requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication and welding work area.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when working with welding equipment, metals, cutting tools, and other machinery.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, protective clothing, and safety footwear.
• Coordinate with fitters, welders, engineers, supervisors, and other production personnel to complete fabrication work efficiently.
• Minimize material and welding consumable waste through accurate preparation and efficient work practices.
• Perform other welding, fabrication, assembly, and related duties assigned by management.
