Waiter/Waitress

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Waiter, Waitress, or Food and Beverage Service Staff is an advantage.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Friendly, courteous, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and restaurant service standards.
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Team player with good organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Present menus, explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage selections.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation and quality standards are met.
• Check on guests throughout their meals to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to requests.
• Clear used dishes, utensils, and glassware, and reset tables for the next guests.
• Prepare tables with proper table settings before service begins.
• Process customer bills and handle cash, card, or digital payments accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area, service stations, and work areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Promote menu items, beverages, and special offers to enhance the guest experience.
• Perform other restaurant service duties assigned by supervisors.
