Waiter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Waiter or similar position.
• Must have experience working in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management,
• Hospitality/Tourism Management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Able to take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
• Knowledge of proper table setting, food service, and guest handling.
• Able to handle payments and basic billing procedures.
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Minimum height of 5’5″ (165 cm) or above.
• Professional, courteous, and customer-oriented attitude.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant environment.
• Male applicants are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and provide professional and courteous service.
• Present menus, explain available food and beverage selections, and assist guests with their choices.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and according to established hotel or restaurant service standards.
• Ensure that orders are complete, accurate, and presented properly.
• Set up tables with appropriate cutlery, glassware, plates, napkins, and other dining requirements.
• Clear and clean tables efficiently after guests finish their meals.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper presentation of the dining area.
• Monitor guests throughout their dining experience and respond promptly to their requests.
• Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and courteously.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and other service staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Process guest payments accurately and handle cash or other approved payment methods.
• Prepare and present bills to guests when required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and comply with hotel grooming and uniform standards.
• Assist with restaurant opening, closing, and table preparation activities.
• Perform other duties related to food and beverage service as assigned.
