Technical Office Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience in technical office management within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Strong background in highway, bridge, infrastructure, or large-scale civil engineering projects.
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, contracts, and project documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Technical Office and supervise engineers, quantity surveyors, planners, and technical staff.
- Review and coordinate engineering drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, material submittals, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure engineering documents comply with contract requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor project progress, evaluate technical issues, and recommend engineering solutions to maintain project schedules.
- Supervise the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), variation orders, claims, and progress reports.
- Manage document control processes and ensure proper filing, revision tracking, and distribution of technical documents.
- Review project budgets, resource requirements, and technical deliverables to optimize project performance.
- Support tender preparation, technical proposals, and contract documentation for new projects.
- Ensure compliance with company quality management systems, health and safety regulations, and project procedures.
- Mentor and develop technical office personnel while promoting continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
