Technical Machine Operator – Rewinding
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience as a Rewinding Machine Operator, Technical Machine Operator, Rewinder Operator, Slitting Operator, or Production Machine Operator is preferred.
- Experience in flexible packaging, plastic film, paper, printing, converting, or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Technical knowledge of rewinding and converting machinery.
- Ability to perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of web tension, roll alignment, slitting, cutting, winding, and material handling.
- Ability to identify common rewinding and production defects.
- Familiarity with mechanical components and basic machine maintenance.
- Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or extended hours when required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor rewinding machines according to production orders and operating procedures.
- Set up machines, including adjusting machine settings, web tension, speed, alignment, and other operating parameters.
- Prepare and load raw materials, cores, films, paper, or other materials required for the rewinding process.
- Monitor machine operation throughout the production cycle to ensure consistent output.
- Adjust machine settings when necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Perform roll changes, material splicing, cutting, trimming, and other rewinding-related operations as required.
- Inspect finished rolls for correct dimensions, winding quality, alignment, appearance, and other specifications.
- Identify defects such as wrinkles, telescoping, loose or tight winding, uneven edges, misalignment, and material damage.
- Perform basic troubleshooting when machine problems or production abnormalities occur.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians or supervisors when technical problems require further attention.
- Conduct routine machine inspections and basic preventive maintenance activities.
- Check machine components, tools, blades, rollers, sensors, and other equipment for proper condition.
- Use measuring instruments and inspection tools to verify product specifications.
- Record production output, material consumption, machine downtime, rejected products, and other production data.
- Minimize material waste and ensure efficient use of raw materials.
- Follow production schedules and meet required output and quality targets.
- Maintain proper handling, labeling, and storage of finished rolls.
- Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized.
- Follow company quality standards, operating procedures, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe machine operation practices.
- Report machine defects, quality issues, material shortages, and other production concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform other machine operation and production duties as assigned.
