SUPERVISOR – GPS
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Must be a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or a related field.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Experience in GPS monitoring, fleet management, logistics, transportation, or dispatch operations is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GPS tracking systems, vehicle monitoring, route management, and fleet operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in preparing reports and maintaining accurate operational records.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work under pressure and respond promptly to vehicle tracking issues.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of supervising GPS monitoring activities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor GPS tracking systems and provide real-time updates on company vehicles and other assets.
- Track vehicle locations, routes, travel times, mileage, and delivery status.
- Identify route deviations, unauthorized stops, speeding incidents, and other irregular vehicle activities.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and logistics teams regarding vehicle movements and schedules.
- Supervise daily GPS monitoring activities and ensure accurate and timely tracking.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly GPS monitoring reports.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle trips, mileage, fuel usage, delivery status, and other operational data.
- Assist in optimizing delivery routes to improve operational efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
- Monitor vehicle utilization and identify opportunities for improved fleet performance.
- Report GPS device malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements with vendors or the IT department.
- Support investigations involving lost, delayed, unauthorized, or irregular vehicle movements.
- Ensure compliance with company transportation policies, GPS monitoring procedures, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with supervisors and management regarding vehicle tracking concerns and operational issues.
- Recommend improvements to GPS monitoring, fleet utilization, and transportation operations.
- Perform other administrative, supervisory, and logistics-related duties as assigned.
